Pastor and author Mark D. Roberts has an interesting series of blogs, based on his new book, Can We Trust the Gospels? While I haven't read the book, the series covers much the same ground I investigated when I was considering the truth-claims of Christianity 11 years ago. If you're interested in researching this topic, this would be a good place to start.
Mark is Senior Pastor at Irvine Presbyterian Church. Mark studied at Harvard University, receiving a B.A. in Philosophy, an M.A. in the Study of Religion, and a Ph.D. in New Testament and Christian Origins. He teaches classes in New Testament for Fuller Theological Seminary and San Francisco Theological Seminary.
